The CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers training is an immersive 2.5-hour session that addresses resuscitation techniques for adults, children, and infants, employing interactive manikins and AED devices. Accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA), these sessions are conducted in a calm and comfortable classroom environment. A certified AHA instructor leads each session, and upon completion of the course, participants are issued a certification card through the AHA that is valid for two years.
Generally required for healthcare and medical staff, the American Heart Association’s basic life support (BLS) course is also often required for students pursuing Nurse Aide, Medication Aide, Nursing, and Medical Degrees prior to any patient interactions.
Aimed at healthcare professionals and other personnel requiring proficiency in CPR and fundamental cardiovascular life support abilities across various in-facility and prehospital scenarios, the AHA’s BLS Course equips participants to swiftly identify critical emergencies, deliver effective chest compressions, administer appropriate ventilations, and employ AEDs promptly.
The curriculum is divided into two segments. The initial part focuses on personalized hands-on resuscitation methods both individually and within a team dynamic. The subsequent segment of training hones in on airway management for adults, children, and infants. A concluding assessment evaluates fundamental comprehension, requiring a minimum score of 84% to pass. Participants are advised to bring a notebook and pen, and to anticipate an enjoyable experience!
CPR/BLS courses are ongoing and take place every week on Fridays from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Courses for individuals run for 2 hours 30 minutes at our facility. Available course dates and the link to our registration application can be found below.
